Hi Samantha! I am a senior in Milligan College's Nursing program. If you want to know more about the program or anything... please feel free to ask! I would love to help! Thank you!
Well one thing I'm curious about is applying for progression...what does that include? Is it difficult to progress to the next step?
You have to apply for Progression towards the end of your sophomore year. These are some of the requirements: complete certain pre-requisites, have an overall GPA of 2.5 with a minimum grade of C in all science courses and all nursing courses. If you are a transfer student, then you can submit the syllabi for each nursing course work that you have taken within the last three years. You have to provide documentation of good health, CPR, Liability Insurance and have a clear background check. Also, another requirement for progession is to write an essay indicating why you want to be part of the Nursing profession. So, its not hard to progress if you make sure you have good grades and fulfill all the requirements! You can get more information about the Nursing program at http://www.milligan.edu/BSN/index.html. Hope this helps you out a little bit!
