I am currently a 3rd year nursing student studying in UPHR-Las Pinas. I need help researching for information about Military Nursing in the Philippines. Can anyone please these questions for me? Thanks!!

1. What are the steps needed to become a military nurse in the Philippines (ie, legal requirements)?

2. Are there regulations on grooming and dressing?

3. What are the advantages of military nursing?

4. What are the disadvantages of military nursing?

5. What common challenges do military nurses encounter on daily basis?

6. Are there special equipment used in military wards?

7. What different positions are under Military Nursing?

Good morning. I'm a new member. I just want to ask for any idea regarding lateral entry to the nurse corps. Like from Philippine Navy to Nurse Corps? Is it possible?Thankz..I will appreciate your comments/suggestions.

What would be the chances if you are already commissioned in the reserve force AFP, under technical administrative services, a nurse corps, but with an average of rating ranged to 75% to 79%, what is a chance to become a regular nurse corps, and how and what are the steps in applying for regular nurse corps?

discrimination: because they require 80% average, can we retake the board examination to get 80% or more,

A Lieutenant Colonel told me, you can join in military nursing, regardless of board rating as long as you passed the board exam, you can still become a military nurse through applying reserve force as your stepping stone..

Filler CAD- one of the choice but 2 years..

Tell the process for applying a CAD...

PLEASE REPLY

Hi; I'm going to use the US Army Nursing Corps as an example....

There are regulations, since you are commissioned as an Officer with the US Army, and have to follow Army regulations on grooming, and how to wear your uniform.

3. What are the advantages of military nursing?

You get to do things that many civilian nurses aren't allowed to do in a war-time situation, only if trained. You get to travel to foreign countries with the Military, and also serve in military hospital located in Foreign Countries.

4. What are the disadvantages of military nursing?

The possibility of dying while in a combat situation.

5. What common challenges do military nurses encounter on daily basis?

The same as their civilian counterparts, in the US Army there are the usual common challenges, but there is more emphasis in accepting more responsibilities, even as a brand new 2nd lieutenant, that most civilian nurses may not even be exposed to.

6. Are there special equipment used in military wards?

None, because all military Hospitals in the US are governed by nursing and hospital regulations that govern many civilian hospitals. But you may get to use advance equipment made for the military..

7. What different positions are under Military Nursing?

In US Military Hospitals positions are the same; but have different titles. Nurses still have to have a BSN, if they can get certified as a "CERN" (Certified Emergency Registered Nurse), Nurse Practitioner, it looks good on their military skills. Attending advanced schools, etc.

So you see there are differences between the Philippines and the US; but If I were you, I would go with military nursing. There is nothing more satisfying than working with difficult cases, and saving lives..

can someone answer this? thank you.

are there physical / dental / mental / etc. exams??
