Migration to Australia nursing process

Published

Good day all,

I'm currently an RN in Malaysia and would like to apply for immigration to Australia to work as a nurse. I've submitted the necessary documents to ANMAC for Migrant Skills Assessment, and it should be taking about 10 weeks for the processing/approval.

The chain of process is quite muddled to me as there is no clear-cut direction as to where I should go next after ANMAC.

Can anyone advise me of the process in details of what I should do next? Should I start applying to AHPRA or NMBA on my own? Or is ANMAC collaborating with AHPRA at the same time of my application at the moment?

Is there a shorter way where I can go e.g. any agency that can help me with the paperwork dealing with the Nursing Board registration? I understand the whole process can be very lengthy and arduous; I'm hoping that there would be agents that can help me with the entire paperwork process (most agents only deal with the Visa Application Steps).

Your help and contribution is greatly appreciated; and my apology if I had not made my questions clear.

Thank you!

You need to start the APHRA application

Thank you very much. I've started applying with AHPRA.

Can you please advise on which AHPRA address should I send my documents to? I'm still living in Malaysia and haven't moved/nominated a place in Australia to work yet.

Hi

I started with modified skilled assessment. My employers sent their professional reference to the Anmac. But how will I know they received it or not? The page of Anmac is not organized or neat or customer friendly. It doesn't even show the experience and qualifications I entered.

May you please tell me does anyone have similar situation

Many Thanks
