I know you all can't offer medical advice but I was hoping maybe someone has been through this and could offer me some advice. I wasn't sure where to start this thread but since I'm pregnant, I'll put it here. I've had migraines all my life but since I've become pregnant I'm getting them about every week. I'm not talking slight annoying headache. I mean vomiting every 15 mins and extreme pain. They hit me in the am, early around 5:00-6:00 and last anywhere from 6-8 hrs. I was hoping someone could help me as to what to do. I got fired from work a couple weeks ago b/c of them making me miss work and my ob/gyn sent me to a neurologist who put me on Percocet. The Percocet doesn't really help. I take it and I'll fall asleep for about an hr. or so but I'll wake up and still be in pain and vomiting. I was hoping someone who has been through this can tell me what if anything I can do. I'm about 16 wks. pregnant and I don't know what to do b/c every week I know it's going to happen, I just don't know when and I can't do anything about it. Does anyone have any advice? My ob/gyn just tells me to see my neurologist. (Not much help) I've had to go to the ER but I end up waiting 2 hrs. to see the dr. and by the time I see a dr. my headache is going away and I just want to go home and sleep so usually just stay home and suffer. Does anyone have any ideas? I would love any advice b/c I'm miserable. :crying2:

Hello, sconoli,

I realize you are having extreme difficulty with the headaches. And, the members of Allnurses.com cannot give you any advice about this. You really need to continue to seek out your OB and let him know just how horrible these H/A are. Also, please contact your neurologist again.

We hope you can get these resolved. Good luck.
