I think your chances are fine, she recalculates the GPA her own way. Also consider if the current MSU students don't keep the needed GPA, they lose their chance and leaves more room for transfer students. I spoke to the office. 40 applications have automatically been dropped. She is busy with the Fall starts, and will have it more narrowed down in 3 weeks. GPA over 3 are good. Don't count yourself out.

Thank you ??

Hi I also applied to midwestern in the Spring as a transfer student

My stats:

nursing GPA:3.74

overall GPA:3.57

Good luck to all of us does anyone know the competitive score to get in and when we find out when we get in?

How do you calculate your nursing GPA?

Does anyone know when letters are sent out. I was told maybe October but I’m not quite sure

I am not entirely sure I am also applying for UT Tyler and so when I talked to my advisor she gave me my nursing GPA I think it's just your GPA for all the Nursing Pre req classes

I’m going to post these screen shots of my email so others can use it as a guide. This is what I applied with, I don’t have ap2, sociology, or nutrition yet. I contacted her and told her that a majority of the classes that I made a “c” in were all the way from 2008. (Psych, comp1, and. Few others that were not counted). I made a “C” in ap1 the first time I took it, and she said they have to take the grade for the FIRST SCIENCE CLASS , but that I could retake all the others to raise my GPA for those other particular classes. Even if I made an A in ap2 the first time my nursing GPA would only be a 3.0 which is the bare minimum. She did tell me that the cut off for the program was 3.4 fall last year... so I will have to retake those easy classes to even be competitive.

Anyway, I understand what I have to do, and I’m OK with the workload ahead. I encourage everyone here no matter your grades, or your past to continue pursuing your dreams of being a nurse! God has a special plans for each of our lives, and In his timing you will achieve great things! God bless, and be kind. ❤️

hey guys! just thought I would let you know some information I received from ------------------. I was told 210 applied. And out of the 210, 21 are not eligible. ------------------- also told me she has 40 applications left to review.  I have a nursing GPA of 3.18 and a overall GPA of a 3.4

Are you saying that out of the 210 applicants that have applied 40 have been dropped?

Oh WOW! What were the classes she counted for your nursing GPA?

Hey!
Does anyone know if MSU calculates your overall GPA? nursing core GPA? Or both?

am I the only one who didn’t send their test scores because ---------------------- didn’t ask for them and the website said that they aren’t needed for 2021 semester ?
