MICU--here I come!

I finally made a decision to go into the ICU, I have been a nurse on a cardiac telemetry unit for only a year but I feel ready! I am so excited to begin orientation, and its at one of the top hospitals in my state. I really have learned so much from this site alone, and wanted to thank all those who post here. Reading you all post gives me an idea of what to look forward to in the ICU!

congratulations, what to expect well it's challenging and will keep you on your toes.

There is loads of opportunities to learn in ICU and I loved the 1:1 care although I understand you don't have that in the US.
