Just thought I'd start a thread for people who've applied to MSU for 2025 start!

Hi all,

so we show up at the time of our interview then do the essay? 
 

we don't show up any earlier for a tour or anything like that?

I showed up about a half hour before my time and talked with current anesthesia students which was fantastic! Did my interview at about my scheduled time. Wrote my essay after the interview for 30 minutes.  After the essay, I went back to the students and they gave us a tour of the Sim lab and we got to intubate mannequins. It was so cool. Don't miss out on any of those opportunities!

The students were so helpful in getting a feel of the program and what it'll be like accepted to the program! I agree that the tour is definitely worth it and getting the time to see the sim lab. Best of luck everyone, I hope that one day we can all put a face to the names LOL

Sounds like a great experience, I hope it went well!! I'm excited for my Thursday interview! How do you feel it went?

I thought it went much better than my interview last year! I felt good about it! Good luck on Thursday! I hope you do absolutely fantastic and get in! Take a nice deep breath and just be yourself truly.

That's awesome!! I feel like you're probably in a great spot after getting offered an interview two years in a row and feeling so good about it this year! Did they mention when you'd hear back about a decision?

I asked the current students afterwards and they said around the fourth week of August we will hear back. How does everyone feel about the interview? I walked out of there not sure and since then I've thought about so many answers I could've said better. At the end of the day if it's meant to be, then it's meant to be.

They did not mention when we would hear back. Online it says September or October, but last year I heard back August 8th via email.

Last year they heard back 8/8 which was a Monday, so I'm hoping for next Monday 😅 but I really have no idea!

The worst part is waiting! Next week I'm going to freak out every time my phone makes a sound in hopes it's them! Good luck everyone. I truly hope you all get in!

The AANA conference goes until Tuesday next week so we may not hear back until after that. Is anyone on here going to that? If so, we should meet up!
