Northwestern, Baker or Ferris?

Just wanting to hear from anyone who attended/graduated from any of these schools. I am scheduled to start Northwestern in Traverse City in 2005, but am hoping Baker of Cadillac brings the nursing program up since I graduated from there with an associates in science and all of my prereq classes are there and I don't have to retake anything. Haven't looked much into Ferris as I went there years ago for Medical Records and was not impressed with the large university setting. I'm just wondering if you found NW program particularly hard or easy and the same for the others. Thanks for any info!!

How much did you have to study at baker? I heard the teachers were well qualified? I am returning to school after 26 years and am excited but nervous. I had a friend attend ( but in a different area) she said it wasnt bad. Any input would be great!!

From what I had heard from a few friends, Baker had a great nursing program, but as of a few months ago it was suspended. They lost their accredation due to poor scores on the NCLEX. You may want to double check with someone at the school before considering this program.

I received my associate's in science in medical transcription back in 1996 from Baker. The teacher's were very well qualified and I had to take A&P I&II, pathophysiology, pharmacology, disease processes, etc. I was trained very well as now I see you can get a certificate in MT from Baker. I was a returning (older) student and graduated with honors. I really enjoyed the setting and the instructors. I also was told it would be at a minimum of three years before they offered nursing at the Cadillac campus due to the low scores of the graduates. I will post if I hear anything new!
