I didn't see a thread for this year's IHP direct-entry NP applicants, so figured I'd create one. Anyone else applying this cycle?

It was hard to get in touch with anyone from their admission’s office, director of the program or assistants. I called, left voicemails, came to the campus with no luck. I guess they are way too busy. Overall, I thought it was not a good start. Then I read reviews about administrative mess there. So it was an easy decision for me.
Looks like MGH IHP is so different. I’ve heard a lot of good things about it. The program is quite challenging, but they do provide a good training. I want to be prepared after I graduate.
Thanks for sharing! Can I ask where you read that Northeastern has an administrative mess? I've been looking for reviews on the program but have been unable to find any.

At NEU, they tell you that you need to find your own placement/ preceptor, which is too much pressure for a newly made RN...
Hey! That's interesting, I don't know why I thought NEU finds your clinical placements for you. Did a faculty member or student tell you this? Thanks!

Hi! I just read that in their website that you need to find placement “as part of real life experiences of finding a job”! It’s more like, hello we are soon to be nurses so like can you help us find the job and preceptor?!

It's my understanding that Northeastern will assign your clinical placements within the program, but you are responsible for finding your own position as an RN for your co-op after the pre-licensure portion of the program.
https://bouve.northeastern.edu/nursing/programs/direct-entry-nursing-ms/ has the structure of the program and the quote about finding your own placement, while the nursing preceptor manual (https://bouve.northeastern.edu/assets/uploads/sites/2/2014/07/nursing_preceptor_manual.pdf) seems indicate that the program is responsible for placing you into the positions.

I don’t think anyone has heard yet about the next steps unless you needed to turn in additional transcripts for your conditions of admissions. Everything, as far as I’ve heard, will be communicated via email.
I am thinking of emailing them just to double check though as I’d like to get started on the next steps as well.
