Hi,

Just starting my application for the 2017 Fall entry- wondering if there is anyone else here who is starting too, or anyone from previous years who would be willing to give us some insight?

Thanks

Hey all I created a Facebook page called MGH IHP DEN 2020 for those that are accepted!

Did anyone on the waitlist hear back yet?

Hi everyone,

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted! I was accepted for Psych and MGH is my first choice, but unfortunately I did not get any scholarships. I am wondering if anyone has had any luck with outside scholarships or has any advice. So far the scholarship programs I have found I am not able to qualify for at this point. I really want to make this work but am pretty worried about coming out with 200,000 in debt! Also nervous because it seems like we won't get our financial aid letters with loan amounts for quite awhile.. I'd love to know what your guys are thinking and the cost compared to other programs. I spoke to financial aid and they said that tuition for the 3 years for psych track is 120,000 plus fees & supplies. Thanks!!

Hey Rebecca,

Did the Financial Aid office give you a timeline for when we'd get financial aid letters w/ loan amounts? I'm in for psych, too!

Hey everyone!

I was unfortunately waitlisted for the Pediatrics track. Has anyone from the waitlist heard from them?? Anxiously refreshing my email for an update.. This is my top program

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to let everyone know I got off the waitlist at MGH for the Psych track on 3/13 at about noon. They gave me until 3/24 to accept and I did (!). I assume that after this first round of waitlisted people, they will again let people on the waitlist know of availability this coming Monday 3/27. Hope this helps! Good luck :)

Congrats psychnptobe9850 on your acceptance, that is awesome and thanks for the info!

Still haven't heard from them.. Feeling kind of discouraged since now I know that waitlist acceptances have already gone out:(

Congratulations for getting off the wait list! I totally feel you apolxo í ½í¸ž hopefully well hear back soon. If people who get off the waitlist continue to update us that would be great!

Hi everyone, I was accepted for the psych track, but I was wondering if anyone knows whether you can change your specialty after your first year? While I currently love psych, I am worried that after clinicals I may find something I connect with more and am wondering what my options would be? Or are you basically fixed to the speciality and thats it? Thanks!

Hi duesler,

I went to the open house a year ago and I was told that you pretty much have to stick to your specialty. Since seats are already limited, the chances for your desired track that you wanting to switch to is minimal. The woman was saying that it's very difficult to switch your track once you're already placed in one.. But I believe she mentioned that you could always take specialty courses in the field after you graduate to gain experience? Hope that answer helps you

Has anyone from the waitlist heard an update? :(
