MGH IHP ABSN Summer 2020

Published

Hi all:)

I wanted to make a thread for the MGH IHP ABSN Summer 2020 application which was due today for the priority deadline. I was verified on NursingCAS about a week ago and am very nervous/excited to hear back from MGH!

Best of luck to all!!

Yes! I got in too!:)

I also got my acceptance yesterday! Congrats all ?

Hello ,

I also applied to the program and I was just verified by nursingcas this morning. How long was the wait for you guys. Im totally confused because MGH stated that it is "rolling admissions"

@niap I applied on September 29 for the October 1 priority deadline and I got my acceptance letter on November 26th. So they took about 2 months. Good luck!

@niap it also took me about two months to hear back. I applied by the priority deadline and only received an email saying that MGH was reviewing my application on November 13.

The process might be quicker since it’s rolling admissions.

@kre and @Des1102 thank you guys so much for responding .

Got my admission decision today and I am in ! Hope to see you all

hi I was accepted today! where do we find info for how our schedules will be once we start? like how many days hours etc.

Congratulations!! I put down my deposit a few weeks ago, so I'll definitely be attending. When I went to the info session/tour, the tour guide was a current student and said for the first semester you are there every morning by 8am M-F. I think it varies by semester though, with the first being the hardest. I'm not sure when they give us our actual schedule though.

Thanks congrats to you to. I literally applied last week , I was expecting to wait at least for four weeks . I also have 7 friends in the program and I have heard nothing but great things about the program and the support offered by faculty. What is the financial aide like ?

I heard the program is great as well! I'm not sure how financial aid works. The scholarships came out with admissions letters and then I think fifth years can get federal loans and private loans to cover the rest. I don't know how much we can get from FAFSA for second bachelors degrees, but I'm hoping to at least get a federal loan with a lower interest rate ? Also, does anyone know anything about a Facebook group for our class?

@kre yes definitely take out the federal loans first then everything else secondary . I don’t see a Facebook page at the moment . Has someone created one ?
