Is there anyone who is applying to the Metropolitan State University entry level MSN this year? Is there anyone currently or previously in the program who can shed some light on it?

@amgarcia61 Thanks for the info. So yeah looks like Metro is within reach but not a sure thing. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one in this position. I have a friend who is going through the MANE program which seems fine but she never went to college. Yes, like you I want to feel like I'm moving forward. I guess time will tell...

Thanks for the info on a couple other programs! I'm not as enthusiastic about an ABSN, but I'll what I've got to do.

I'm also limited to the Twin Cities area; we are actually planning to relocate there this summer from the SF Bay Area. So hoping to get in somewhere there.

Good luck to all; hope somebody hears something soon!

Has anyone heard anything from Metro yet?

Sent an email to Sandi Gerick and she said decisions should be out by March 30. Ack

Another week! Man, good thing I picked up extra shifts or I'd be checking my e-mail constantly.

Right! Need to fill up all of my time to keep my mind off of it ...One week can’t come soon enough!

Did you all find out at the same time last year? Because it seems like some decision are out, yet I haven't heard anything... which I'm taking as a negative.

I did not apply last year but I haven’t received an email either . I have sent and email to The admissions coordinator to clarify...

The admission counselor emailed me back stating that no letters/emails have been sent yet for the ELMSN program. She said the faculty deadline was March 30th - they said if they can they will send out earlier than that but if not they will go out the first week in April . She said something about the MANE BSN admission notifications going out recently too so that may be the issue?

@amgarcia61 -- Thank you for looking into this and sharing. I did not want to seem over eager. I would say that my anxiety is quelled, but now we've got another week or so to wait. I'm going to try and read a non-science related book to be transported to a simpler time before direct entry nursing programs. We'll see how that goes.

Someone on a different thread for ELMSN said they got in but either they were confused about what program it was or was referring to another school, lying (I doubt it), or just they got chosen early by whatever faculty. Sorry for spreading the confusion and again thank you for looking into it.

No problem. I am a littler over eager as well! I actually just spoke with the admissions coordinator on the phone. She was confused/ concerned as well! She stated that the entry level msn program does not usually correspond via email and she asked me to have the student who received the email to contact her to discuss. Any chance you could pass along this message?

I told the person the situation but didn't ask them to call. I think they had been in contact and will contact if they choose.
