Methodist ED San Antonio

Published

Hey guys,

I was looking for some input on some San Antonio hospitals. So I've applied to the VA hospital, SAMMC, and University ER's. I'm an ER nurse currently. I've heard varying things about Methodist though, I know they pay the least and are not flexible with that but they do offer bonuses. Money isn't everything but I've also heard they're staffing is terrible in the ED and the nurse/patient ratio's are not normal for an ED either. Anyone have any input from experience working there or even a friend who worked there. How'd you/they like it? Were the people cool?

I have a friend that used to work there - he was happy with the pay, but found the pace to be very slow. I think it depends on what you're looking for.

I recently saw an ad for Methodist offering relocation bonuses, so they may be a little more flexible with pay at this point.

I'm in school and I think I want to work in the ED, and given all the hospitals, I'd choose either University (I volunteer there) or SAMMC.

Good luck in your search!
