well, kiddo, i guess you're in for it now. :crying2: just kidding! :chuckle i think that what you are in for is acid/base balance, metabolic and respiratory acidosis and alkalosis. assuming that, i'm giving you some links on that plus links for information about abgs since a lot of students have a lot of trouble understanding blood gasses.

http://classes.kumc.edu/son/nurs420/unit2/unit2.html - information for the nursing students at university of kansas. this page has links to tutorials on ventilation/perfusion, oxygen delivery, abg analysis. this is a very nice site to get information about patients on ventilators.
