Carter89 did you go to Merit and how was your experience as well as the entrance exam?

Hi yes i did go not a good school at all they have a prectice exam on there website test is pretty easy you have to pay cash 3500 within two months than after anatomy it is differnt proces for each class its not worth it . If u can try to get in another school that is the best route started off with 33 students after forst class 7 students left 40% final 30 % midterm they set you up to fail so u can repeat

Oh my...Well to be honest tomorrow I'm scheduled to take their entrance exam. I went on the review website and it only has one set of exam to practice. So there isn't much to go by. That's why I was curious about the exam. I want to pass the exam with a 70% or better and so I don't want to take chances. I really want to get into an LPN program right away so I can start working and right now Merit seems to have the least demands or waiting list like other schools such as CUNY. So my choices right now are very limited but I'm ready to make a few sacrifices.

PS: I have a few more questions I'd like to ask;

Was the exam written or computerized? Once you pass the entrance exam did they accept transfer credits from other Colleges or do they just accept you with a high school diploma? Once you began the program how many classes did you take until you graduate? And did you take the NCLEX-PN yet? Plus I'm coming from Staten Island, so I was wondering how was the commute to the school for you?

I know this is a lot of information to ask but although the reviews for this place isn't the highest, I willing to take a chance. I had two people from my college who didn't get into the nursing program go there and now they are done with an LPN licence and working towards a BSN this coming semester. Sadly I only ran into them once and only got the name and phone number of Merit from them.
