Mercy University ABSN Summer 2025

Published

Hello future fellow RNs!

I recently applied to Mercy Univeristy ABSN program in the Bronx for the Summer 2025 semester start. I'm looking forward to hearing that I got in (speaking into existence) and thought to ease my nerves in the meantime, I'd start this forum to connect with other applicants, potential cohorts, and those currently in the program!

For those currently in the program, can you share your experience so far? How do you like it? Are you receiving support? What is your experience like managing the workload?

A bit about me:

My undergrad GPA was terrible (2.5, my grades went down at the pandemic hit and I barely graduated). I have taken classes since and brought my overall up to 2.73. my cumulative prerequisite GPA for the program is 3.8. I have years of experience in a variety of direct/healthcare (DSP, Phlebotomy, Care management) as well as a manager who is a nurse that provided a strong LOR. Although I feel a bit nervous about the waiting process, I have a lot of optimism in my experience, LOR, and personal statement. Im in my later 20's now and I feel much more prepared to embody what it takes so excell in nursing school than I did in my early 20's so I'm really looking forward to this next chapter.

Let's stay in touch!

Hey! I got accepted and paid my deposit today I am still waiting for other schools though. Do you know how long is this program? On the website the weekend is 5 semesters I'm wondering if the full time during the week is the same! But best of luck!

A&P 1- B+
A&P 2- B+
Chem - B+
Psych B+
Micro B-

Hi! I also received my acceptance today!

have you heard about the next steps in the admissions process? I submitted my deposit today as well.

Also, yes! The full time program is 5 semesters. They have an academic sequence map where it shows the classes we take each semester.

@future nursing Stu 1 please are you going in for the weekend or weekdays . I got admission first plan to go for the Monday to Friday but on a second thought I think that will be too much.

Hey All,

Congratulations to everyone! I was also accepted for the weekday program and looking forward to working with you guys. After deposit payment, has anyone received the next steps?
