Hello! Haven't logged on in a few months. Thought no one would come across this! Well... finished 1st semester...it was tough, but do-able. You have to study like crazy. I would recommend you review your exams with your faculty once you get your grade, just to make sure you understand why you got the answers right/wrong. You learn a lot... i feel that will prepare the students to pass the boards on the first try. Mercy has the HIGHEST NCLEX passing score right now. That says plenty.
MY HONEST OPINION: I feel some faculty members make it difficult (tricky) on purpose. Stick with people that are SMART, that helps alot. Be positive... it can be accomplished.
Study from the NCLEX LPN book, the entrance exam is very similar. Know your ABC's and Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Remeber SAFETY FIRST :) You will do great! I wish you the best of luck. I start 2nd semester tomorrow. I am beyond excited (as I am closer to my graduation day each day that passes). WOOHOO! :)
HEY!!! Broward is just as challenging as Mercy (from what I've heard). I'm finishing my last semeser at Mercy and it's going great. A LOT of studying, but doable. We have class once a week (4p-10p) and clinical (7a-7p). Just a few more weeks and I'll be a nurse grad, again! lol. Planning to take the boards in late Septemnber. Best of luck to you! :)

hello!!!! i will be starting the LPN to RN transitional program at Mercy Hospital College of Nursing in August 26, 2015! CLASS OF 2016! :) I wanted to know if there are any other students that will be joining the program with me. MORE IMPORTANTLY, ARE THERE ANY PREVIOUS GRADUATES FROM THIS SPECIFIC PROGRAM?! The last thread involving this program was back in 2009. I would love to hear how it worked for you (including the clinical settings, teachers, exams, etc). Hope to hear from the graduated and from my classmates! :)
Happy Day!
