  1. Passed!! official RN status!
  2. Just walked out of the testing center. Shut off at 75... ... hoping for the best! Thank you for the encouragement! ^_^ now to wait for results.
  3. Accepting positive vibes and uplifting comments! been studying for a few weeks now, did Kaplan. Readiness Test states I'm "99.1%" chance of passing NCLEX on first try! Baby Jesus, i hope so! ^_^
  4. that is great!!! happy to hear that! the first and second semester you go to class 3 times per week (2 classes; 1 clinical). LAST semester you go twice per week (1 class; 1 clinical). you will do great. I'll be done in 6 weeks! thank the LORD. :) happy happy joy joy.
  5. HEY!!! Broward is just as challenging as Mercy (from what I've heard). I'm finishing my last semeser at Mercy and it's going great. A LOT of studying, but doable. We have class once a week (4p-10p) and clinical (7a-7p). Just a few more weeks and I'll be a nurse grad, again! lol. Planning to take the boards in late Septemnber. Best of luck to you! :)
  6. hello! I currently work 25 hours a week and i'm doing well in the program. you just have to make the time to study. I have no choice. I have to work as I am a single mom. you can manage ANYTHING!
  7. Study from the NCLEX LPN book, the entrance exam is very similar. Know your ABC's and Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Remeber SAFETY FIRST :) You will do great! I wish you the best of luck. I start 2nd semester tomorrow. I am beyond excited (as I am closer to my graduation day each day that passes). WOOHOO! :)
  8. Hello! Haven't logged on in a few months. Thought no one would come across this! Well... finished 1st semester...it was tough, but do-able. You have to study like crazy. I would recommend you review your exams with your faculty once you get your grade, just to make sure you understand why you got the answers right/wrong. You learn a lot... i feel that will prepare the students to pass the boards on the first try. Mercy has the HIGHEST NCLEX passing score right now. That says plenty. MY HONEST OPINION: I feel some faculty members make it difficult (tricky) on purpose. Stick with people that are SMART, that helps alot. Be positive... it can be accomplished.
  9. A LOT of nurses are tattooed... it's awesome.... it all depends on the employer. I have tattoos and planning on getting more. Mainly on the torso area, easy cover up. hahaha.
  10. hello!!!! i will be starting the LPN to RN transitional program at Mercy Hospital College of Nursing in August 26, 2015! CLASS OF 2016! :) I wanted to know if there are any other students that will be joining the program with me. MORE IMPORTANTLY, ARE THERE ANY PREVIOUS GRADUATES FROM THIS SPECIFIC PROGRAM?! The last thread involving this program was back in 2009. I would love to hear how it worked for you (including the clinical settings, teachers, exams, etc). Hope to hear from the graduated and from my classmates! :) Happy Day!
