Mercy Fall 2023 Weekday ABSN

Published

Hello, I wanted to create this forum for anyone who is applying for the Fall 2013 ABSN program at Mercy located in the Bronx, NY. I recently was accepted to Mercy for the Summer 2023 ABSN program but I had to defer my acceptance to the Fall 2023 instead as I am moving in the Summer.

Thought it would be best to discuss, share info, stats, updates, info on Fall 2023 Program at Mercy.
Previous Cohorts please feel free to share how the program is going or give any tips!

Really would Appreciate it. Thanks ?

I decided to start in Spring 2024 due to medical reason. I will be applying for this cohort. Goood luck to whoever starting in the Fall 2023!

Has anyone heard back yet?

Hi I applied for fall 2023 and just got accepted the other day! Good luck everyone

Congrats on your acceptance! My application status says under review.

I was accepted today, but I am nervous because this school has a low first-time NCLEX pass rate. Has anyone spoken to someone who already went through this program? I also applied to Pace, NYU, and Stony Brook (placed on the alternate list). They gave 5 days from today to pay the $500 deposit, but I haven't heard back from any other school yet so IDK what to do ?

Hi I'm also nervous bc of this exact reason! I did put my deposit down bc the other school I applied to waitlisted me and I'd rather not wait to start a program. I also noted that the NCLEX rates have been going up every year for this school. Good luck !!

Did you apply for the weekday or weekend program?

I saw on the website it said deposit was due May 5th? I wonder why they gave you a 5 day grace period to pay

I didn't see the option to differentiate between the weekend program and weekday program, but I am more interested in the weekend program because I work full-time. You saw that option?! I e-mailed Stony today and they told me they don't release people's positions on the alternate list and that I could find out a week before the program starts ughhh. Plus it's so last minute that I kinda don't have $500 to give to Mercy right this second!!

Im really confused and nervous right now. I submitted my application and uploaded all my unofficial transcripts back in February and my application was under review and then I just checked my portal about an hour ago is and it said it's under review and then I checked just right now and now it says awaiting material and now I'm just nervous because I uploaded everything and spoke to someone in February and she said they have everything I need and I don't know what's going on and I tried calling and it's the end of the day and no one admissions office so I'm just nervous since the deadline is tomorrow

Yes there was a weekend option! It asks you in the application which one you were interested in. I would call and see if they can extend it

Thank you!! I'll try that on Monday. What other schools did you all apply to? Stony Brook just e-mailed me back and said there's 30 students on the alternate list, so I'm not sure if it's worth waiting. IDK what to do. I can't find much online about Mercy's program, I really wanted to read testimonials from current/former students.
