Hi Guys! I'm currently applying to Mercy College weekend program Fall 23' I wanted to start a thread for the weekend program
kmgxo 51 Posts Jan 21 I got into their weekday ABSN program for Summer 2022 after being waitlisted. I'm praying I could get in again for the weekend program so I can get tuition assistance from work.
marilinles 5 Posts Jan 21 Yes! That's one of the reasons why I'm applying for the weekend program, since I still need to work full time to get tuition assistance from work
Likkle_Tallawah 67 Posts Feb 13 Hello there. I am considering applying to this program as I may also need to work while attending school. Is there anyone who has been through the program and can give any insight as to how the professors are, the lecture/clinical schedule?…Is the program manageable, etc.?
samysol74 5 Posts Feb 15 Hi. Does anyone know if the weekend program consist of full days on Fridays?
marilinles 5 Posts Feb 15 I believe it's how you make your schedule, im not sure how it's been for other students who did the weekend option. I know they offer online and in person classes

I know they offer online and in person classes I understand but I'm wondering if classes are scheduled for all day on Fridays. I work M-F so I would have to work around that if I get accepted.
Nicole100 6 Posts Feb 15 Hi, I have a question. Do you think I can get accepted to this program if I have a C+ in Micro and Chem but A's in all the other prerequisites? My GPA is still over a 3.0 (even with just my prereqs alone) and I was an honors student. I struggled a little with those two courses though. I took a few other biology courses that I received B's in, but I'm not sure if they look at any of your other courses. I also went from a failing student in high school to an honors student in college, and I'm an alumni of Mercy. I'm just curious if they still would give me a chance. I also posted on another forum as well, just to see if anyone can help me out LOL
Likkle_Tallawah 67 Posts Feb 15 Hey! I'm also an alum of Mercy College. Colleges are pretty strict when it comes to grade requirements. Mercy requires a B- in all prerequisites. I believe it used to be a C+. I've personally heard an admissions counselor say that he won't even consider an application that doesn't fulfill requirements. (That was at a different school, however.) You can always check to make sure though. Calling the admissions office won't hurt just to be 100% sure.
marilinles 5 Posts Feb 15 It doesn't hurt to ask!! But if you want to retake the prereq MCPHS has online courses that can be completed in 16weeks and is self paced. I highly recommend the school if you want to fix your prereq and get a higher grade
