Hey, I just wanted to know if there were any other students that applied for the Spring semester accelerated nursing program at mercy college
I applied September 22nd and received and acceptances yesterday oct.5 I was suprised because applications aren’t even due until the 15th. I’ve been looking at reviews and videos from ppl who attended previously. I’m just waiting to see if I get any other acceptances congrats everyone who heard back!!
I had a 3.6 in my pre reqs and a 3.5 overall. I looked on tiktok and Youtube tbh. Also I work in a hospital and spoke to a nurse who did her ABSN at pace and didn’t have the best reviews for pace she said the exam questions where not matching up with the book etc. I didn’t apply to pace because I missed the deadline

Hello, person who is currently attending Mercy accelerated program here. Don't even wait to see if you're accepted, go to Pace. Theres a reason Mercy had a sub-50% NCLEX pass rate. It's a messy program that sees you as a check. I have 8 professors right now and I only believe two care about my learning. Some professors consistently waste class time bc they won't show up on time, one professor doesn't lecture and shows Youtube videos instead (like, I could do that for free LOL). Whenever concerns are raised they're always shut down. You can look at reviews online as well, multiple people say this school does not prepare you for the NCLEX. If you do go here be prepared to do a lot of self-teaching. If I could go back I would go elsewhere. TBH I would have gone to an ADN program I got accepted to and looped to a BSN before going back to Mercy. I know this sounds really negative but I'm just fed up LOL. Pace probably isn't a perfect program, but the results speak for themselves, they're at least preparing their students for the NCLEX better. Mercy is better than nothing of course, but if you have other options take them!

I applied to Monroe college as well much cheaper.
Pharmacology lab is 100% online, which is crazy because that's our medication math course (which is sooooo important). I don't know if you get a choice for that class because it's not even a situation where you meet on zoom or watch the professor's video's online, the "professor" doesn't do any work or teaching the whole thing is through an online program where you watch some videos then do some practice problems then screen shot your completion and upload it to get an automatic 100 for completion. It's a joke LOL. And to make it better if you have questions good luck, the "professor" doesn't answer.
The actual pharmacology lecture is in person and tbh that's one of the two professors who actually shows up on time and ready to teach, she's great.

Mercy College is a 18 month program from what I believe.
