Mercy Accelerated Nursing

As anyone been accepted for Fall 2022 nursing at Mercy college in the Bronx?

August?? Wow!! You’ll hear back around end of April hopefully that’s such a long wait !

LOL...I thought the earlier the better, but it doesn't make a difference.  Did you apply to any other school?

Hey guys. I also applied for fall 2022. This is probably my second choice but I have not heard much about this program. I tried doing my research but there is not much out there on their website.

Are the reviews about this program fairly good? I read complaints that it is disorganized and facilities are not top-notch. But it is cheaper than my first choice (NYU) MUCH cheaper so it might just be a smarter option.

If you don't mind me asking, what made you guys pick this school? Any insight about this program is much appreciated!

Honestly, Mercy price is a huge advantage compared to other schools, especially NYU. I applied to NYU as well and the tuition is so depressing.

I also applied to NYU, but as a backup...Mercy is really my first choice.

Right, NYU tuition is just ridiculous. I also applied to Mount Sinai. It looks like a very good program. Mercy is best in terms of location (only 15 mins away from me) but honestly, I could care less about a longer commute. Still have a lot to think about.

I'm going to see where I get accepted and go from there! Hope that we all get accepted into our program of choice.

@futurenurse412..good luck with all your application. Mercy has more flexibility to me. I heard that most of the professors from College of New Rochelle are now there.

Hey guys, I also applied for Summer 2022 still waiting to hear back. The anticipation is killing ? hopefully we would know by the end of the month. the program is fairly new so there is not that much info on it. The reviews that I have read are all mixed some good and others bad. Hopefully we will all hear some good news though ?

Hi! I finally got to apply for Summer 2022 after halting my application & holding back until all my pre-q grades were completed. I was accepted to both NYU and LIU but their tuitions both turned me off from going. NYU offered me very little in scholarship funds and LIU offered none. Mercy is close to me and so much cheaper. I am really hoping to get lucky and be accepted.

OMG Congrats! ? I completely understand why you would turn down NYU & LIU bc of the price tag. I got accepted to LIU, but I would have to take out so much in loans and ultimately decided to turn it down. I was looking at the deadlines for the deposits at Mercy  for the Summer 2022 cohort  and saw that it is March 5th. So I'm not sure if they will issue all decisions before or if some will still be going out after the deadline date

Congrats to you too!! It is so bittersweet to receive acceptances but not go due to pricing. And that is interesting that March 5th would be the due date for deposits. I assume many would still not know by then but perhaps the majority of the class will. I am hoping this means the acceptances will roll out fast haha.

Also If anyone wants to know the tuition for NYU for Spring 2022 was 30K and change. If you remove the medical insurance & use your personal medical insurance (which they verify) it drops to 28K and change. The nursing scholarship they offer is 3K and change. Still leaving you with a whopping 24-25K bill to foot with student loans unless you have other forms of funding and other scholarships. The textbook costs will range in the hundreds as well. And the program is 4 semesters long which is an incredible amount of money in loans... at least for me as a mom of multiple kiddos. Hope this helps someone! ?

Hopefully we hear back soon for Summer start! Since the deadline was Feb 15th
