Opening a thread for the applicants ☺️

Do they have a recency for requirement? I see it says that courses are recommended to be taken within 5 years, but it isb't mandatory, correct?

When I watched their video last year about the requirements for the RN program the lady stated that they changed it to recommended because of the time it is taking some people to get in so that many schools within our community district were either lengthening the requirements or just removing it entirely and I think I have seen many that no longer state that it is required.

Hey everyone, I just logged on to MCCD ADN page and they put up a new letter regarding TEAS. It states that they require TEAS for this application so unfortunately those who have not gotten to the TEAS because of cancellation will not get to apply for the 20/21 year. They have not updated however how we will be turning in apps yet they said to continue to monitor the site. just a heads up... I'll keep checking

Thank you for the heads up! I'm sorry to those that didn't get a chance to take the TEAS yet... I wonder how COVID will affect their enrollment rates since none of the current students are able to complete their clinical rotations???

yes I'm not exactly sure with that what is going to happen... my friend who is a first semester student at delta says they are trying to plan a way to get their hours made up but it may just be a delayed start for fall people not sure.. hoping to find out soon

If all our pre-reqs were done at schools listed on the chart do we still have to submit official transcripts to the enrollment office??

yes, you still need to submit both sets of transcripts. they want the enrollment office to have them on file already for review. if your classes are on the list it should be verified easier as they are for sure equivalent.

Hey everyone, Prior Covid-19; Merced College had a scheduled workshop under students services for RN program application requirements; April 8th, per Sue Helfgott. It's possible it will be precorded and posted at a later date. Hopefully with some insight on how we can safely apply with regards to social distancing.

Possibly mailing in applications?

Also I worry, they will ONLY accept half the students. They usually accept 27 students for Fall & 27 for Spring. With the schools temporary closure, Did clinicals for active RN students get postpone? Would they be making up clinicals during Summer/Fall leaving room to only accepts 27 students for Spring 2021..???

Hi guys,
I’m new to this college and have some questions about the application process. For example, do we need to submit an online application.. then mail our documents? Or just submit the application online for now and wait.

-Also-

due to the covid19 circumstance, are transcript evaluations still going on?

At this time it is unknown If/how they are going to accept applications. The original dates were for May 1st for new applicants and May 6th for repeat applicants. The website, I would expect, will be updating soon with that information but for now due to the covid situation we know nothing.

OK, thanks!

I guess we’ll just have to keep monitoring the website.

Hi all. Well there is only one week left until the May 1st application date and there still isn't any school update on how the applications will be processed. Has anyone gotten in touch with a counselor about the changes? And has anyone else not been able to get paper transcripts because of campus closings due to COVID-19? Mine is only doing electronic transcripts and IDK if those will be OK.
