Help!! I just received my decision and order and am required to get an evaluation from a board approved physician, etc. My question is, is there a form for approval or how does this process go. I am given 45 days to complete, however I have no information at this time on how to obtain board approval. Thanks in advance for any input.

The Board of Nursing in your state has a list of approved mental health specialists. I called the MS BON and they gave me a list of approved treatment centers/physicians when I was seeking inpatient treatment.

I will also have an order soon. My settlement conference is in October and I’m trying to decide is hiring a lawyer is worth it. This meeting is not s hearing - it’s a settlement meeting so I will prob have a board order contract ready to be signed. Good luck!

Thank you for your reply as it means so much during this extremely stressful time. I hired a lawyer and it saved me, especially all the stress of contact with the board (as that is terrifying, I freeze). If its a settlement hearing is there a need to hire a lawyer. If you have the money I would to aid in decreasing your stress level... however, I bet the result will come out pretty much the same. What will be, will be and all we can do is our best. Good luck!!
