Pay as a bank nurse is pretty good. You are looking at about $30/hr I think as a bank nurse. Just make sure that you only accept MH bank shifts as the bank co-ordinators may forget that you cannot work on the general wards as here every RN is an RN!
Although your rego should have an endorsement on it. Get a superannuation account organised and roll it over on every job you don't want to end up with 4 or 5 accounts. different employers may want you to go with their choice of super account but you have the right to use the same one at each job (fewer fees!)
Don't forget you winter coat and jumpers. It is winter here. And the snow fields are only a few hours away.
Welcome to Melbourne! get your myki(kinda like an oyster card) sorted as well for public transport!

Hi Tappy20,
I was searching the Internet for information on nursing bank work for RMN's in Melbourne, and not much came up. However I saw your question and noticed that you asked it a year ago, so I was just wondering if you have any advice on bank nursing in Melbourne as I am struggling to find any to join.
Any information you have would be very useful.
Many thanks
Sian
Many are Co located with acute services so call bank at a hospital and they can direct your call to the right place.
