memorial hospital of rhode island program

Specialties CRNA

Published

Hi everyone,

I have been accepted to the nurse anesthesia program at memorial hospital of rhode Island. I wanted to know if anyone out there has graduated from this program. My only concern is that I have to live in New Britain, CT for the classroom phase and then move to Providence, RI for the clinical phase. Does any one out there have any information on housing in either area. I am from the south so I am not too familiar with this area.

Thanks

1st congratulations on your acceptance. I am a student nurse in RI. Have only lived her for about 2-1/2 years moving here from NY and I absolutely love it here. Don't know anything about CT but I can try to fill you in on Little Rhody.

Since we're such a small state you can actually drive from one end of the state to another in an hour's time or so. I especially love Providence. Although our ex-crooked mayor (Buddy Cianci) is now jailed, he certainly did a lot for Providence. And there are not-so-great places to live in certain sections of Providence..just like any other 'big city' ...or however big you might want to consider Providence.

There are all sorts of housing to consider. You should check out the website: riliving.com and you can also look up the towns in RI to get a feel for it.

Also check out the Providence website:http://www.providenceri.com/home.html

for some more info and make sure to check out the beautiful piccys and info on the Water Fires.

I think Memorial Hospital is associated with Brown University which has a wonderful reputation.

Of course we also have beautiful Newport, Block Island, Narragansett and other great places to visit and explore.

Feel free to PM me if you'd like. I'd be glad to give you any more info that you need or check things out for you. Welcome to RI!
