Forum for people to stay updated on the application process for the Nurse Residency at Memorial Hermann. The app opened on the 15th and closed on the 21st.

I guess so:/ maybe some locations were able to go through their applicants quicker and send out offers this week. Curious if anyone who applied at TMC got offered a position yet?

I applied for TMC PICU and my application says it’s been received. I interviewed on Monday! Losing hope /:

I interviewed Monday as well! Mine still says application received too- this has been the longest week...hopefully the beginning of next week we will hear something (I assume they do not work weekends?)

I will say that the department manager called me first and said that she had no idea when the recruiter could or would get back to me, so she wanted to let me know so I wouldn't stress about it over the weekend. It just so happened that the recruiter called the same day so please please stay hopeful! This was my second semester applying bc I wanted a specific specialty. Don't give up!!

Did you tour the unit at all? I’m stressing bc it seems like some people got called back to tour after Interviews and THEN got the job offer. I’m out of state so that wouldn’t be possible for me and I’m worried that might affect my chances?

@ivy pearl thank you for the encouragement!! @newgradnurseJen I was thinking the same thing... I live on the east coast so I wouldn't be able to tour the unit. Sure hope that doesn't really play a role in their selections but who knows ?

I didn't, and I'm 10 mins away from the hospital so hopefully that's not a factor.

Don’t lose hope yet!! I think there are still units who haven’t called to give offers yet. I received my offer on Thursday but I think they have SO many people to go through so it’s just taking time! I also did not do a tour of the unit, I wasn’t offered one.
I wanted to start a GroupMe for the new hires just to keep each other up to date, from what I understand we only have 30 days to sign up for benefits/retirement. I’m going to post the link below!

I haven't, I reached out to the recruiter last week and today and have not gotten a reply as to when we could expect to hear back
