So...I'm an ABSN student who will graduate in August. My school had a career day last week, and being a motivated nursing student, I got dressed up and went. My current school has a CRNA program, and they had a booth set up. I spent a while chatting with the SRNAs and got quite a bit of good advice about my school's program. I also signed a sheet saying I would be interested in more information - I expected to get on their e-mail list. Instead, I got a personal e-mail from the assistant to the program director asking me to come in for an informational interview in a couple of weeks, with the director herself. I answered that I would love the opportunity, and now we just have to fit me into her schedule (and mine). Is this routine? It's a very small program, and they're admitting they're third cohort this fall. If anyone else has met with program directors or anyone else in administration prior to your actual interview, what can I expect? I plan to come with a list of questions, although I'm also not sure what to ask - I'll welcome any suggestions there as well. I know all the basics - how they structure their program, cost of attendance, hospitals they use, length, class size, admission criteria, etc., and I wouldn't want to ask anything I can find on their website. What are some good questions to ask? And should I be prepared for her to ask me anything? Thanks so much!
Anyone? My meeting is on Monday, and I'd love some ideas of what to expect...

When I visited a school way back when, I met with the director, the chief CRNA, and spent time with students in the program. You may also spend some time shadowing that day. Its a great opportunity for the program director to get to know you, shows motivation, and they will remember you when its time to apply, which may help you get in.

A couple questions I plan on asking pertain to new graduates finding competitive jobs and rumors I've heard of CRNA programs becoming doctorate programs.
