Hi, I applied to Medvance's lvn proram in April of this year. I took the first HESI exam that was offered and I passed. I spoke with my rep today and was informed that the date was just pushed back up today and the new start date is Aug. 05,2011. They said that the state gave the go ahead this past Friday. I am wondering about the acceptance letters. I really need to get in school and be done with this portion of my plan. Good luck on getting a letter was told they should start going out soon. I wonder how many people took the test.
Hi, congrats on passing the HESI. Did your rep say the start date was Aug 5th or Sept 5th, I was told it was Sept. Also I got the paper work in the mail last week on all the requirements that have to be turned in for the selection process. Did you get in inforamtion in the mail? Thanks for communicating with me.
He said that they had just came out of a meeting and got the word in the meeting that the date had been given of Aug 5th because the state gave them the go ahead. I have not received any paper work about requirements, but I turned in everything including my drug test and financial aid last month. I am getting antsy and excited. Trying not to worry because I haven't gotten a definite yes you are accepted yet.
What all does the HESI consist of? I actually go tomorrow to talk to a rep about the program. Can anyone give me a walk-thru of what to expect for the first visit please. I have all of my immunizations already (thanks to the US Navy). I really just want to know if i could actually begin the August 5th class with you guys, or if i'm too late as far as applying. I've also already made a correction to my FAFSA and added Medvance Institute on there for financial aid. Trying to stay two steps ahead. Any information that yall could give me would be greatly appreciated. I've read a lot of bad reviews for this school, but NONE was in any reference to the LVN program. I think people only write a review when they've had a bad experience with something anyway.
Thanks,
Steven
I came to the same conclusion, that people really only review when they are angry but any situation in life is what you make of it. The HESI had a lot of conversions and fractions. During the first meeting I had too take some sort of aptitude test. Nothing too difficult. I don't know if you are too late but nothing beats a failure but a try. Good Luck
