Medical termonilogy quiz and test

Published

I am currently taking medical terminology. My class is once a week 9-11:50. My question for those of you who have taken this class are your test and quizzes usually multiple choice or written? I email my teacher just waiting to for her to get back to me is driving me crazy. Also I am having trouble retaining the information any tips for studying would be greatly appreciated.

My program threw some root word stuff into our curriculum and it's really just straight memorization. It does help me to physically touch or visualize the body part associated with the root word I'm learning (e.g., flex my muscles when I say "myo", touch my ear with "oto", etc.) Do you get a list of words or roots to learn per week? Break it up into bite sized chunks and learn bit by bit. I learned 100 root words and phrases in less than 3 weeks just by splitting them up, making index cards to carry around with me, and glancing at the words and meanings every time I had a spare couple of minutes.
