Good luck in your schooling. I have found that if you don't use the medical terminology, you forget what it means real fast. I like the idea of taping up posters of the words, but also try to use the terms in sentences while you study them. I work in CV-ICU, and when I recently saw the abbreviation "TAH" for a middle aged woman, I was surprised because in my unit that means "total artificial heart"- which she didn't have. Later I found out it meant "total abdominal hysterectomy"-- but that is a term we don't use in my area very often. So med terms are one of those "use it or lose it" things; if you want to remember things, you need to use them correctly.
