I am applying to nursing school this spring for Fall 2015 admission. I would like to find a job over the summer in a "medical setting". I'm not sure if I will want to continue working while in school. Therefore, I am leaning toward something more temporary. What kind of positions would you recommend I look into?
While volunteering sounds wonderful, I do need money to go towards books and fees.
I appreciate any advise!

Entry level jobs in healthcare are pretty limited to the same sort of things in other service industries... parking valet, reception desk, cafeteria worker, etc. None of them would add any value to a nursing school application if that's your motivation. The scope of volunteer activity is extremely limited also... nothing remotely clinical. Healthcare is an highly regulated industry. There are barriers due to rules about patient confidentiality and safety.
One thing first. Change your user name and avatar to something that will protect your actual identity. While this is important on all social networks, on one such as this - which is focused on professional issues..... it is an absolute necessity. One inadvertent slip or injudicious post can derail your career before it even begins.
