Which specific medical esthetics are you referring to? Tatooing (or medical dermagraphics) after plastic surgery for reconstructive purposes, botox, chemical facials?

There is quite a difference alone in just these. Can you be more specific?

Suzanne4, Thanks for replying. I'd like to get more info on the type of work one would do for a physician in an office setting or possibly a medical spa, specifically laser rejuvination and hair removal, botox, chemical facials. I'm sure there's more I'm just not that familar with the field yet. Thanks.

Most of that would be thru the office of a plastic surgeon. Best suggestion is to contact some that are in your area.

Depending on the type of chemical facial, some states require that you have specific esthetician certification. Botox and laser training are usually done right in the physician's office as they all have different techniques.

First place that I suggest that you check with is your BON to see what you are covered doing and not covered doing.

Hi,

I have been reading through posts, I am a new member from Colorado. Nurses are allowed to perform aesthetics in Colorado. I have gone to the Nursing Board and recieved a letter of approval from them. Please e-mail me if you want any further information.
