Medical Careers Institute Richmond Campus

U.S.A. Virginia

Hi

I am interested in going to Medical Careers Institute in Richmond Va.

I was wondering:

1) about how much is tuition?

2) do I need to take any classes before entering the school?

3) When do their classes/semesters starT?

Also If you could share any more info about the school I would greatly appreciate it Copy%20of%20wink.gif

ps. I also want to do Evening classes and I will be going for my RN

I dont have much info..but I am considering MCI myself. I also just applied to Bon Secours. I just posted on another board so hopefull between here and there we will get some anwsers.

I replied to other post on the general nursing board with some info, but I'm at the VB campus. One thing you should ask about when you call is about the accredidation with NLNAC. I don't think that the Richmond campus has applied for it yet. Good luck! You should post here after you call/go to open house so other people looking for information can know too!

Good luck!

Will do! Thanks.

How was your open house today?

[color=gray]i attended open house today in newport news and i found

[color=#808080]it to be rather interesting to say the least!

[color=#808080]

[color=#808080]while speaking to the representative on the phone before the "open house", she encouraged me [color=#808080]to bring all of my questions to the "open house". they started [color=#808080]with like a brief introduction (the school, accreditation, financial aid, etc) [color=#808080]and then we all broke off into groups [color=#808080]depending on your program of "interest".

[color=#808080]

[color=#808080]during group sessions, the director or associate director spoke very briefly about the program and then they sent us off to the next phase! unknowingly, the "next phase" was the teas test! we had no idea that they were going to test us, i was only there to get more information about the rn program, the school itself, etc! i am the type of person that need to study before a test so needless to say, i didn't do very well on the math portion! i hadn't seen geometry since the late 1990's! after the test, we had to take our scores to the front desk and that was it...i am sitting here just as confused about the school now than i was before i went to the "open house".

[color=#808080]

[color=#808080]personally, i believe it was more of a marketing tool to get people "in" rather than provide information and assist those who were truely undecided or with questions.

[color=#808080]

[color=#808080]good luck! i've decided that mci is not for me...

Good Morning,

I am the Campus President at Medical Careers Institute - Richmond Southside campus. If you would like to speak with one of our Directors of Admissions, we have two campuses to help you. The West End campus, which has the RN program at that campus is 804-521-5999. The South side campus can help you as well if that is a closer location for you to make initial contact. The telephone number for the South campus is 804-521-0400.

Thank you for your interest in Medical Careers Institute.

I said the same thing
