Med Surgical Nurse

I am currenlty going to school for RN and I would like to become a Medical Surgical Nurse. Do anyone know the what type of additonal education that I would need?

None! Med-surg is a vast field, but it is the field that most new grads find themselves in as it is large and provides you with excellent basic nursing skills.

That's where I am headed and I just finished nursing school in August. :)

I thought I would be an OB nurse - hated it! Thought I would hate med-surge and loved it!!

@ sunshyne17, Yes I already know that I would hate OB! I want to do something that would learn more from and that is surgical nurse!
