Hi!
There is no difference-only that a med-surg nurse has chosen to work on a med-surg floor.(There is a med-surg certification, but it isn't required to work on a med-surg floor) Once you get your RN (by obtaining your ADN or BSN degree)and pass boards, you can work in any area (of course lots of specialty units require experience or advanced certifications, and some hire you right out of school) Get info from either four year or community colleges in your area that offer nursing programs as there are pre-requisite courses needed in order to enter a nursing program. Hope this helps- Good luck!
