Specialties Med-Surg

Can anyone tell me if there is such a thing? I know all the "specialty" feilds have their own organizations but does Med/Surge?

Yes.......there's AMSN, the American Medical-Surgical Nursing organization that offers certification and other benefits for Med/Surg nurses. I myself am a CMSRN, having over three years' experience in the field and passing a challenging certification exam.......you should check them out!
Just FYI.......we M/S nurses are specialists....never let anyone tell you differently!!

Thanks Marla-I agree that we will be specialist in almost everything if we stick with it long enough, cause we see almost everything or at least I have seen such a big variety in the small rural hosp. I work in now.
