Med Assist/LVN

I am attempting to get into an LVN program and in the event I don't get in, I wonder if I should take Medical Assisting. I am currently a CNA/HHA. I have heard that the Medical Assistants don't make much over Min wage as new grads. I'm in Southern California, any input out there?:confused:

I can't comment on California, but in Texas MA's make about the equivalent of LPN wage.

It depends what you want to do, if you want to be a nurse get your LPN/RN, if you want to work as a jack of all trades in a physcians clinic then an MA would work. The beauty of getting your LPN is you can do either :)
