MDS Nurse Department Head

Hello all, 

I have been doing MDS for nearly a year now. Can anyone tell me if they have been an MDS nurse but not a department head and then an MDS nurse who is a department head what the difference was? Did you feel you were treated better and respected more as an official department head, or was there no difference?

I am considered a manager in my position but have assist training others, as well as being trained, in our other facilities where they don't consider their MDS Coordinator a manager. I definitely think my team respects me and my position a little more than I have seen my fellow MDS Coordinators treated.
