MDC waiting list?

Hi, I just want to know if Miami Dade College Nursing program has a waiting list or not, I've heard yes and no from different people and I want to know for sure.

I'm sure someone can get in into MDC with a 3.6. 3.7 , 3.8. It all depends on the applicants, it all depends on whose applying. If everyone that applies has a 4.0 ( who?? I haven't met one yet) then yea it'll be hard to get into without a 3.9,4.0 But the reality is, most people DON'T have 4.0 so I also say apply for it, you got nothing to loose by applying. I have a 3.8 and I can't believe people tell me," That's not high enough" , I have the highest GPA of the people I know, if thats not "good" enough for nursing school, then i'm going into another field. So many qualified applicants being turned away because there isn't enough nursing instructors.. it will be a problem soon enough with not enough nurses. It's very irritating.

if you say so.. MDC is the one of the hardest schools to get in and people with 3.6 3.7 3.8 get turned down every year.. i know a few peopl that got in and they ALL had 4.0.. Now if you have the hook up and you know someone that is different. But if you just apply like everyone else.. you will get the same chance like everone.. I am not tellin you not to apply. Im saying just apply with other schools.. and like you said maybe the term that you apply to there wont be to many people that have a 3.9 or 4.0.. In that case, that will be excellent!!! but for the past few year for the Accelerated program and generic, it has been difficult for individuals to get it..

Yea I know what you're saying, it just irritates me because I've worked really hard and im PROUD of my 3.8! I don't need MDC putting me down. Either way, I might not even go into nursing, im thinking physical therapy. But if I do go for nursing, it probably wont be a MDC then, even though I'll apply just to see what happens.

its a shame!!! that people with great average like that cant get in.. sometimes with MDC i think its who you know and whose desk you file fall on..... its a lot of favoritism at that school based on culture etc.. i am a grad of that school. So that is why i say what i say//
