MCI Student RN Program

Published

i need some advice from people who have completed all of the three prereq for the rn program at mci... if you have is it hard taking all three prereq's in one semester? based on the school and professors there? do they take you at fast pace?

help!

I have the chem and math prereqs from another school, but I don't have a computer class. Do you think I'm too late to apply for the Jan class? Do you know when the next starting class is?

I have "heard" that they are done with accepting applicants for the Jan. start but the next start is May :wink2:

Just wanted to update if anyone was curious- I went in today and talked to admissions (at VB campus) and was told that if I can get my transcripts in on time (i'm enrolled in chem now at ODU) that I'll still be eligible to enroll in the January class. He also encouraged my husband to write one of my letters of recommendation. I'm going to take my TEAS on Wednesday!

Good luck:yeah:...prepare yourself for a 4 hour test:bugeyes:! I am at the NN location and that is where I heard they were not taking anymore. Keep us posted as to if you get in...good luck :nurse:

TEAS is done and it was awesome. I'm going to take the computer class starting Dec 1st and he said if my chem transcript comes in on time then I should be in the January class! *doing a little dance*

I am trying to get in for January 09. All my prereqs are done. Can you send me the notes that you have..it would be greatly appreciated.

How long did it take before you found out if you got in and what is there procedure for accepting students?

The only thing with this is that your rep can't guarantee you anything, you have to go throught the interview etc...

The computer class started the beginning of December.

Thanks- I'm in it. My last post said I was enrolled. I know my rep can't guarantee anything. However, I also know that I have to have one of the highest TEAS scores and a 4.0 GPA. My letters of recommendation were awesome and I see no reason why I would not be top of the list to get accepted. Thanks!

Not to bust your bubble but ALOT of us did great on the TEAS...When I did my interview she said I had the highes TEAS scores she had seen so far. Still trying to figure out the selection criteria, you can't lock in an answer. Last I heard was the Teas, pre req classes and interview when I did my interview.

We should here by Jan 9th who made it. Good Luck and look forward to seeing you in class.

I was told that I had the highest TEAS scores coming in, too. After my test my admissions rep took my scores to the director and came back and said there was no second interview needed. I had a perfect math and reading score (100%). I had a 90% on science and a 95% on the english. So, my bubble isn't bursted. That's great that you did well, too! There's going to be 30 of us, so it's not like we're competing for only spot! Good luck!

Everyone interviews with the DON. Reps tell everyone some many different things. What campus are you going to? Day or Night?:yeah:
