For those who have taken or are taking their requirements for the NAU Concurrent Nursing program w/ Maricopa Community Colleges (Glendale), I am interested to know what classes you chose for the Cultural/Global Humanities requirements below.
That's a total of 12 credits - since most of the classes I see in Humanities are on average 3 credits each...the above requirements appears that it will take 4 classes to fulfill.
? What classes did you take that you recommend for being easy/enjoyable or time friendly.
(PS. I already took my 3 credit elective humanities class, these are in addition to)

Hi, I had the same questions about the Aesthetic and Humanistic courses. Have you taken some of them since your post? Which ones did you enjoy?
I appreciate it any feedback you have.
Hi STE2135341
So I met with the nursing adviser at Glendale Community College a few months ago to clarify what Humanities classes would qualify as Cultural and Global aesthetics for the BSN/NAU program. After all, I don't want to be taking more classes than I need to or all wrong classes! This is what she said to me.
When you are looking for a Humanities class, labeled as (HU), make sure there is also a credit attached to the class for Cultural © and then for the other class a Global. (G)
Here are the classes I picked. I am in the middle of the Jazz class now.
1.) Music In Wold Culture (HU, G)
2.) American Jazz and Popular Music (HU, C)
-------------------------------
There are several classes in Maricopa that should fulfill your cultural and your global credits. At the moment, here are the other classes listed with these credits attached....
Sustainable Cities (HU, G)
Hispanic Heritage (HU, C)
World Religions (HU, G)
Environmental Ethics (HU, G)
Humanities Universal Themes (HU, G)
History of Western Civilization (HU, G)
Topics in American Literature (HU, C)
Mythology (HU, G)
Buried Cities and Lost Tribed (HU, G)
With this said. I would narrow down your two desirable classes (your global humanities and your cultural humanities) and then I would make an appointment with your nursing adviser and ask directly, will these classes count for me! I know too many who have taken humanities classes that did not have these credits attached and they ended up having to take more classes than they would have if they had met with the adviser 1st.
I hope that helps.
You are awesome! Thank you for the great advice.
