Mayo in Mankato

first time poster but been lurking for years. I would like share my experience of working at Mayo Clinic Health System (MCHS)in Mankato (Note: this is not the main famous Mayo hospital that is in Rochester). It’s a hospital system satellite hospital/clinic that is located in Mankato, MN.

I worked here for several years and can’t fathom how such a place can be even remotely related to Mayo.

Mankato hospital/clinic has been practicing very unsafe healthcare and nursing staff is very frequently understaffed. The local nurses don’t have many other options for employment and put up with a lot of abuse from the management.

Before I was hired they promised me a lot of things that in reality they used famous “Mayo Clinic” name to hire naive staff. Don’t fooled by glamorous facilities and smiles. It’s all fake once you start working and been here for a while, the real face is real ugly. Management simply doesn’t care about our concerns but pretends to he listening when staff shares things that can be improved. The workplace is unsafe and noone really cares to do something about it. End of rant.
