I currently have 2.5 years experience in LTC, working with a mix of skilled/unskilled, comfort, and hospice patients. My current superviser is currently screwing me over by blaming me for medication errors (on days I did not even work at the facility). If this continues, I will have to put my 2 weeks notice in soon. Do you think 2.5 years experience in LTC working with comfort and hospice patients would look good on a resume when applying to a hospice service?

I would stress the fact the you are also open to new things, because the hospice you apply to might need you initially in a different setting, i.e. home health.
Another thing, if you're close to any of your current patients' families, ask them, if you type up a recommendation letter, would they sign it. Keep it simple, 'caring touch, my (so) was fond of this nurse'.
Good luck, let me know how it goes.

All nursing experience is valuable when considering a hospice position. Hospice nurses in the field (visiting patients in their homes) need to have the confidence to function pretty autonomously. Those working in facilities have much more backup and the ability to quickly collaborate with a colleague. If you are interviewing with a company which provides both hospice and home care be certain that you specify hospice...certified home care is a VERY DIFFERENT PRACTICE. Good luck.
Thanks for the advice.
