May 2019 BSN Graduates - CA BON out of state

Published

Hi everyone!! I have a question regarding the CA BON. I'm graduating in May 2019 from AZ and applying to programs that begin in Sept in CA.

What is the fastest way to receive my license in CA? I have heard mixed things and I don't know if I should apply for licensure or endorsement.

Hello. Same! Graduated May 17th. I went to school in Pennsylvania and I applied for CA NCLEX exam March 28th. It said pending and open from that time till May 23rd where a couple of deficiencies were listed. I sent all the deficiencies the next day but I just want to know the processing time for deficiencies.

I`d just say you should send all the necessary documents together or immediately after submitting an application so it gets processed at once.

How long did it take for you to get everything resolved and take your nclex? Also, was your deficiency for the communication studies requirement? I'm trying to figure out if I should take the nclex in CA or take it here in TX and get it endorsed after...

If you start early they process yours early. And you have to keep bugging them. I started mine March but finished June because they were missing my passport and it was while calling that I found out that was what was missing. Also ask if you can upload things directly to your Breeze account, that was how I sent my passport and I got my ATT the next day. They accept electronic uploads

This is exactly what I was wondering! I'll plan on submitting everything electronically early if I can. Thank you SO much.
