Math and the Teas

Hi, I am taking the Teas in a couple weeks and I was wondering if anyone wanted to share some tips. Were there any story problems on your test, anatomy, geometry? From what I understand there are four different Teas test administered. So any and all advice is appreciated!

Yes, all of those things can be on the test. I think you aren't getting the kind of specific answer as to what kind of problems to expect because when you take the test you have to swear you won't discuss the particular details with others. They made our group sign a paper on our test booklet. They want everyone to be on the same level playing field when they go in to test, not some folks privy to the questions, and others not. The study guide is pretty representative to what you can expect, only easier for most of it. You are almost there! You will breathe easier when it is done. Just do your guide.

really, i didn't know that. i'm just way anxious because i've heard so many different things. i've had people at school say tons of geometry and anatomy. then, i get here and people say the opposite. i give up-i'm studying everything in the guide, cover to cover, over and over like a mad man!!!

thanks

ok this might seem 'dumb' on my part, but i wanted to know what the teas test is for? i have not heard about it until this semester. however, i was never told that we needed to take this test only the nursing entrance exam...does it depend on where i am attending school at?

The TEAS is just one of several different nursing (and other allied health professional) school entrance tests. It is a new requirement of California Community Colleges and of many BSN programs. Some programs have a minimum cut-score that students must achieve to be considered, other programs use it as part of an overall composite. Your school may be using one of the other entrance exams.

Thanks this is helpful! I will definately call my school on Monday and ask for sure since I have heard some kids in class say they are taking it but then again the school never told me...

Does anyone that goes to school in Florida know if the TEAS is required in Florida?
