Maternal Nursing Careplan

Hey you all....I turned in a careplan for a L&D patient. Nothing abnormal about this delivery. It went beautifully. After turning it in, my instructor states that she will not pass me unless I include risk for injury to the mom and the fetus. After consulting with other students about this, I found noone else that was required to add this dx to their plan of care. I realize that there are all kinds of risks involved with childbirth, but I have a brainfart and feeling overwhelmed. There was no malpresentation, pt had epidural, short labor, etc. Okay....so Risk of Injury to mother r/t????? Risk of injury to fetus r/t ?????

Thanks ahead of time for an assistance.

for the mother, you said she had an epidural: hypotension; did she get all her feelings back in her legs; bladder function?any oxytocin given? etc.

for the child: you said it was a short labor(also potential injury for mom), was there any trauma to the child, how was the apgar, bili, temp....?

I don't know, just thinking of the top of my head....
