MassBay Acceptance Fall 2010...anyone else?

Published

I just got accepted for the Fall 2010 class. Anyone else get accepted and going?

ME!!! Congrats!

Have you taken all your co-reqs and pre-reqs and if so what campus??

So nervous!

thanks and to you too!!! it's exciting, but i'm really nervous too! i've finished all of them (co-reqs & pre-reqs). i took them all, except micro, at the wellesley campus and had some transferred from my ba degree. what clinical/labs are you signed up for? i can't believe it's only about 6 wks away!!

Oh man micro was terrible.. worst class i've ever taken! I'm taking the Monday lab and Thursday clinical.. I live pertty far from Framingham so I hope they place me close to my town!

Which days are you in??

Hey Massachusetts nursing students! Congrats on getting into the RN program at Massbay. That is my goal in the future. I'll be starting the LPN program at MassBay in the Fall 10, so maybe we'll bump into each other ;) However, I hope you don't mind if I ask you some questions regarding your "stats" because there is like no information about how competitive community college programs are! What was your background, GPA before Mass Bay, and GPA at Massbay? I hope you don't mind me asking and you dont have to share if you dont feel comfortable. Thanks!

]Good for you! How longs the LPN program??? As for background information, I have a 3.3 GPA.. and I did all my pre-req's and co-reqs (finishing up 2nd math course and thats the last!) so I can enter the program completely free! The program is 3 days a week, 1 day is a clinical and you have lab once a week and lecture 2 times.. so it's a HUGE commitment! I would highly suggest getting as many pre and co-reqs done as possible before entering the program! My GPA in school was roughly the same as it is now but I've been out of high school since 2004 so it didnt matter. But you really reallly really REALLY need credits from Mass Bay if you want to get into the ADN program- but thats the same for every nursing school really, unless fresh outta high school. I have my medical assistant diploma and have worked in 3 different hospitals but that wasn't any part of my acceptance- they didn't even ask! So keep your grades up and you'll be all set- especially now you're taking the LPN program, you will be a shoe in if you keep your grades above a B-. AND starting for all new acceptances your sciences courses have to be completed with a 77 (C+) or higher.. If you have anymore questions don't hesitate, I'm happy to help! :D
