Mass Bay Fall 2010
I'll be working on Fridays from 8am-6pm. Neither Thurs or Fri work for me. I was hoping for something on a Sunday or maybe after lab on Monday. I know a lot of people want the weekends to themselves and probably won't want to be studying after a full day (lecture & lab), so I know it's going to be difficult to find a group time that will work. I could also do it on Tues after Clinical. Does anyone know the actual time of clinicals yet?

Mass Bay Fall 2010
I have been accepted and my lab is on Monday, clinical on Tuesday. I've tried to find a study group but not having much luck due to my work schedule. I'm going to try to meet up with people after lecture to study for a little while. When is your lab and clinical? I have heard it's really tough and that scares me. I really want it though, so I'm hoping that gets me through it!

Mass Bay Fall 2010
I believe they will just mail you a letter (if you've already applied). I onyl applied once in 2008 and I just got my acceptance letter in 2010! I don't want to give you wrong info though, so I would double check with MB. Good luck with everything! P.S. CS100 (winter session) with L. Moore is a easy, fast class!!

Mass Bay Fall 2010
I just got home and it was in the mail. So you should get yours today or tomorrow. They told me they were all mailed out this week. You also should have got or will get a phone call from Massbay to tell you that they made a typo and put "congratulations on your acceptance into the Evening program" instead of Day program. So if you see that don't stress out lol!

Mass Bay Fall 2010
One is on 5/13 and the other 5/14. So probably by the end of May they will send out some more acceptance letters (I would think).

Mass Bay Fall 2010
Thank you! I actually don't even remember when I applied for the Day program it was that long ago. But I know it was about a year ago that I finally got at least on the wait list and now acceptance. So I dont know how they choose people, doesnt make any sense to me. I finished my pre-reqs in May '09 so maybe that's why...who knows! But don't give up...especially since you have a great GPA! Also, I spoke to someone in the Nursing dept a couple days ago and she said after orientation they expect a few people to pull-out. She said its a reality check and some realize they can't do it. I hope that's not me (still scared of how i'll handle this-single mother, have to work because I have a mortgage!) but there will be some, so you still have a chance for the Fall!

Mass Bay Fall 2010
I just got accepted for the Day program Fall 2010! I got my letter 4/12 after being on the wait-list for about a year (not really sure how long- seemed like forever!) My GPA is 3.8, took all my pre-reqs (22 credits) at Massbay (transferred the rest). I have my BA and that GPA was 2.6 but I don't think they look at that. Hope this helps and Good Luck to everyone waiting and who got in!!!

you need one semester of high school Chem, AP 1&2, sociology, developmental psych, english comp 1&2, college algebra, and a ethics/critical thinking/logics class. Then you have to take the NET exam. Hope that helps!

Trying To Become A Cna
I am also trying to become a CNA to get experience for nursing. I found that most nursing homes will train your for free. Also check with your local American Red Cross agency, they have a list of free programs! Good luck!

Anyone going to MCPHS in 2008?
For those of you that got into the program what were your undergrad GPAs and pre-req GPAs?

Accelerated Programs in Boston
I am in the same boat. I had a 2.6 for my undergrad in Sociology and now i'm just starting my pre-reqs for the Accel BSN. I feel like if I dont get perfect grades I won't have a chance in getting into a program. With all the applicants, I know they are only looking for the best!
