Massasoit Fall 2017

Published

Hi,

I didn't find a topic on this yet so I figured I'd start one! I recently submitted my application for Massasoit for Fall 2017. Anyone else?? The wait is going to drive me nuts!

Ive been a dental assistant for a few years and am deciding to make a change. I have all of my pre-reqs from before I even went into the dental field, which got me an Associates degree in health science. I have a good GPA and A's and B's in most pre-reqs, but am a little worried because I feel like I don't have the most competitive grades compared to others! Also got an 82 on the TEAS.

Congrats you guys!!

I wonder if they are rolling out the acceptances. My audit say January as well.

I wish i could just call and ask if i am in or not hahah

Is degee works for current students? I am dying to find out but was not a student there

Good point. If have have been accepted, you wouldn't know because you've never logged into the system.

Well i got my letter today, didnt get accepted :/ kind of a bummer because massasoit was my first choice. But im thankful i got into brockton hospital, ive heard great things about it so ill be starting in august! Good luck to you ladies!! We all have a tough but exciting future ahead :)

Wow....it seems like you had everything going for you to get in! Did you have all the pre-reqs done on the ruberic listed? Your teas score was great! Did the letter state why you did not get in? I went to BHSN and they required so many private loans so i had to withdraw! And my Chemistry was the only reason why i didn't make it into BCC. Now i am just waiting on Massasoit & my school i am currently at.

Yes i had all the pre reqs done and more :( good grades and teas score was great. The letter basically said "theres an excessive number of qualified applicants and not enough seats", i dont know if theyre just trying to put it nicely haha but sounds like there were probably just too many people with a better score than me or something! Thats okay.

Your letter should be coming any day now!! How long did you go to BHSON before you withdrew? What was your schedule like and did you like it? It is very very expensive but im just going to figure it out and make it work somehow lol

I went for 4 months. I liked it but it was hard to get the private loans and they didn't seem to helpful! And i was already 2 classes away from having my associates in science but if you transfer all your credits there then you don't get the associates in science because you need so many credits there! And my friend went to BCC and her loans were less than half mine was so that was tuff to swallow! My opinion is many people go to BHSN because it is easier to get in but......you will have twice the amount of loans and some and you only get a diploma in Nursing which is very tuff to go to a bigger school to get a bachelors! I am happy with my choice of withdrawing....now if i could only get into one of these other schools! If BCC waitlisted you and a spot opens go there! My friend graduated last May and loved the program! She has an awesome job now and is already 1 year done with her bachelors!

Yes im praying that a spot opens up at BCC! Im pretty sure they told me they wont know if a spot opens until the end of may so we'll see. Thanks for the info though and good luck! Fingers crossed for you

Awww...thank you! Yes i need this for sure! Food lyck to you also! I really hope a spot opens at BCC for you
